Steerhead Regatta - September 18th, 2010
The 2010 Steerhead Regatta will be held Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at the Fort Worth Rowing Club on the Trinity River. This is a 3,000 meter head race that will start from the northernmost point of the Trinity River and finish close the Fort Worth Rowing Club boathouse, just west of Beach Street. The boathouse is located 1/4 mile north of I-30 on Beach Street, east of downtown Fort Worth. Racing will commence at 9 am with expected completion of events around 3 pm.
Racing fee is $35 per rower for as many races as you can race (includes lunch) or a rower or team can race one race for $15 each. The one-race fee does not include lunch. Additional lunches may be purchased on race day for $5.
Parking for the regatta is available at the boathouse on Beach Street. Race watching is best near the finish line just west of the Beach Street Bridge about 200 meters from the boathouse. Trailer unloading and parking is available just east of the boathouse (volunteer staff will direct trailers) and boat launch docks are east of Beach Street.
